Hiking vacation in the Dolomites for families
If you decide to spend your hiking holiday in South Tyrol with your children, we recommend a hike from Castelrotto to the Lake of Fiè. If you wish to enjoy the most wonderful panoramic views of the mountains while hiking on the Alpe di Siusi, the circular tour starting in Compaccio is your first choice. Theme walks are always a great idea. On the “Oswald von Wolkenstein Path”, you will hike past the Ruins of Hauenstein and the Hauenstein Forest. At 15 stations, you will learn more about the late Middle Ages in South Tyrol, the knight Oswald von Wolkenstein, and the Nature Park Sciliar-Catinaccio. The physically more challenging “Geotrail” takes you from the Panider Saddle to the village of Bulla. Here, you will find plenty of information about the origins of the Dolomites on eight information boards.
